October Holiday MTB Coaching
Skills. Confidence. Challenge. Fun.
Three days of mountain bike coaching for kids and young people in Moray, delivered by two qualified MTB coaches in small groups of no more than 8 riders.
Riders can join us for one session or all three. Each session works independently, while riders attending all three will experience a progressive programme that builds their skills across the week.
The young person before the rider
At Boundless Trails, we want young people to become better mountain bikers - but that's only part of what riding can offer.
Mountain biking gives young people opportunities to make decisions, manage nerves, solve problems, take appropriate risks, make mistakes and try again.
That's why the young person comes before the rider.
We'll teach proper MTB skills and encourage progression, but there's no pressure to be the fastest, jump the highest or keep up with somebody else.
Every young person progresses from where they are.
Three days. Three themes.
DAY 1 - CONTROL
Body position • Braking • Balance • Bike control
DAY 2 - FLOW
Cornering • Vision • Line choice • Momentum
DAY 3 - PROGRESS
Technical features • Trail skills • Personal challenge
Each session combines coaching with plenty of riding and opportunities to apply new skills on real terrain.

Coaching will be adapted to each rider's experience, confidence and ability.
Meet the coaches
Sessions will be delivered by Dimitri and Vincent.
Vincent is a qualified British Cycling Gravity Coach and MTB Leader as well as an experienced mountain biker and BMX rider. Away from the trails, he is a Physics Teacher at Gordonstoun School.
Dimitri is a qualified MTB Coach, MTB Leader and Trail Therapy Practitioner and leads Boundless Trails' youth and wellbeing programmes.
Need a bike?
Young people can bring their own suitable mountain bike and helmet.
A limited number of Boundless Trails bikes and helmets are available for £10 per session, subject to size and availability.
